Therapeutic Yoga is available to adults or couples who want to utilize the physical practice of yoga as a supplement for improving and maintaining mental health. This service is recommended for clients who are actively participating in counseling with a therapist outside of Root To Rise Counseling.
Sessions involve a private, personalized, and trauma-informed yoga practice based on improving and maintaining mental wellness. Clients can expect to spend the first session completing intake paperwork, identifying goals, establishing rapport to begin building the therapeutic relationship, and either beginning the yoga practice or creating a plan to begin yoga during the second session. This service is accessible to all, and previous experience with yoga is not necessary or expected.
